Job Description

This role will support and assist the Workshop Leader to facilitate art based workshops. The Workshop Assistant will assist in encouraging and instructing Art Makers to reach their full potential in a safe and creative setting.   Key responsibilities   • To assist in the instruction and supervision of Art Makers with disabilities within workshop sessions. • Liaise with the workshop leader about the aims, objectives of the workshop and its individual Art maker needs. • Help art makers to get drinks at break times, their lunches and to engage with their peers and other staff members throughout the day. • Be flexible and willing to venture outside your disciplines. • Provide care and assistance as and when necessary to art makers in the workshop. • Assist Art makers to produce their own work with an aim to maximising their potential and creative abilities. To help and support Art makers with personal care needs as identified in their support plan.  This may include toileting, feeding and intimate care assistance. • Teach customer the basic coloring.
