GoGet is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The QA role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting manual tests and writing automated tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. Scope of work:
Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Monitoring applications and software systems
Testing in different environments including web and mobile
Reviewing product and technical documentation
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Provide objective feedback to software development teams
Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Influence our technology platform for the better and have views on how it can help grow the community better
Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies
Contribute to fundraising activities required for GoGet.my
Performing other duties as assigned
Skills/Years of experience required:
At least 1 year of experience in software quality assurance
Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Location:
Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Employment Type
A 6-month full-time or part-time contract that can be extended to 12 months. There may be an opportunity for a full-time engagement after the contract period.

We are MSC certified, although we are a predominantly Malaysian team, we can and have acquired work visas for foreigners.
