GoGet is looking for a professional Senior Finance Executive that focuses on finance and administration functions. The central goal of the Finance function is:
To manage and achieve the company’s financial goals for its business mission and strategy by optimising financial planning, accounting, operations and reporting.
This role will entail doing day-to-day operations and also being involved in strategic projects for the finance function. You will work closely with the management team of GoGet to achieve the above goals. The right candidate should be a detail-oriented individual, fast learner,and have an unruly desire to be highly efficient. The career progression this role provides is a Financial career path towards Head of Finance, CFO positions.

Who will you work with?
This position will work with existing auditors, bookkeepers, tax officers, and an outsourced finance team who execute our financial operations. This position will oversee and manage the finance operations done by a third party Finance partner. You will work directly with the Chief Executive Officer, founders, any other teams that may be required.
Finance, corporate accounting, reporting
Prepare monthly closing, management and financial reports
Support and coordinate preparation of budget, tax filings, financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare financial reports to board members and related stakeholders
Execute accounting operations with finance partners (e.g. review invoice to be released by Finance partner, check through work done by finance partner on accounts receivable and general ledger etc)
Assist the CEO in decision making for finance related features in the GoGet platform (e.g. payment gateway, integration to accounting systems)
Keep internal documents on standard operating processes up to date
Liaise with auditors, bookkeepers,tax authorities and any third party partners on financial operations, audit, tax returns and any other activities necessary
Perform ad-hoc project analyses
Collaborate with relevant teams in handling ad-hoc finance and admin queries from all of GoGet’s stakeholders
Strive to improve by keeping up to date on technological advances, especially on accounting softwares to be used for financial purposes.
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or Professional Accountancy Qualification (eg ACCA/ICAEW/CPA Australia/MICPA).
Proven working experience as a Finance Admin or Associate and creating financial statements
1-2 years of experience in an accounting firm, preferably Big 4 accounting firms or finance in a tech start-up
Relevant work experience in technology companies is an advantage.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and G-Suite services such as Google Sheets, Word Docs.
Proficient in accounting software e.g Xero.
Familiar with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS) and Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS).
Must be comfortable with numbers and learning analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure & work in a tight timeline given.
