GoGet is looking for a passionate Assistant Finance and Admin Manager that focuses on finance and administration functions. The central goals of the Finance and Admin functions are:
To manage and achieve the company’s financial goals for its business mission and strategy by optimising financial planning, accounting, operations and reporting.
To manage administrative operations effectively to ensure all support activities are carried on efficiently to allow the other operations to function properly
This role will entail providing management support by managing day-to-day operations and also being involved in strategic projects for the finance function. You will work closely with the management team of GoGet to achieve the above goals. The right candidate should be a strategic thinker, detail-oriented individual, multi-tasker on top of that also have an unruly desire to innovate.

Financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory compliance.
Assist in preparation of monthly closing, management and financial reports and provide financial advice based on the analysis done on financial statements for multiple stakeholders e.g. Internal Teams and Board members.
Support and coordinate preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Manage accounting operations, regulatory reporting, tax filings and any compliance related activities.
Provide insightful information and expectations to the C-suites to aid in long-term and short-term decision making related to financial matters.
Support and learn how to perform ad-hoc project analyses and financial modeling.
Strive to improve by keeping up to date on technological advances, especially on accounting softwares to be used for financial purposes.
Ideate and execute initiatives for finance related features in the GoGet platform with Senior Manager (e.g. payment gateway, integration to accounting system etc).
Perform periodic reviews of key business processes to ensure proper controls and procedures and strive for continuous improvements.
Work with the related team leads to provide monthly analysis on Results vs Budget.
Provide suggestions on methods that can help minimize financial risk to the company.
Run and improve financial policies and procedures that will be implemented company-wide.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
Assist in admin related operations to ensure company runs smoothly
Collaborate with relevant teams in handling ad-hoc finance and admin queries from all of GoGet’s stakeholders.
Who will you work with?
We work as a team, and your role is to be a great team player and team leader with the Chief Executive Officer, founders, Chief of Staff, auditors, bookkeepers, third party partners and any other teams that may be required.
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or Professional Accountancy Qualification (eg ACCA/ICAEW/CPA Australia/MICPA).
Proven working experience as a Financial Controller and creating financial statements
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in an accounting firm or 5 years commercial experience would be a plus.
Relevant work experience in technology companies is an advantage.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and G-Suite services such as Google Sheets, Word Docs.
Proficient in accounting software e.g Xero.
Familiar with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS) and Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS).
Must be comfortable with numbers and learning analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure & work in a tight timeline given.
Able to effectively communicate performance and talent management issues to a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior executives
Our office is located at Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. However, due to current circumstances, we are working remotely.
